Utah's defense showed that should be one of the best in the MWC on Saturday. Sean Smith had a key interception and Paul Kruger was all over the field at his D-End position.

Hard to tell if Michigan was that bad on offense or if the Ute defense is that strong. Michigan never sustained a full drive the entire game. Utah made some key mistakes on defense that allowed Michigan to move down the field and they gave up on big pass play for a TD, but other than that, I was impressed with their performance.

Reduce the number of penalties (PIs killed us) and continue to dominate on stopping the run game and the D will be one of the best in the country, let alone the league.

Agreed. The pass defense does need to improve whether it is the PI's or just polish up their coverage skills. McCain got burned against Michigan, so I would like to see him be a better job this week. Sean Smith was solid.

The secondary is supposed to be really good and you're gonna have times when they are outrun when in man coverage, but they need to play sound football and not make the penalty mistakes.

Defense continues to impress. I was pleased with their effort against Air Force. Holding them to 53 yards on the ground is unheard of with our defense against them.

Bryce McCain did give up 2 big pass plays that allowed them to move into scoring position. Hopefully he can work on that. I would hate to put "Arnold Parker" to his name.

Paul Kruger is a stud!! He impresses me more and more every week. I'm sure glad we have him. Hopefully his brother can perform as well as Paul does.
